Space & Time at the inaugural Drum Search Awards

New for 2015, the Drum Search Awards have been introduced “to recognise and reward the most innovative, creative and effective search campaigns and strategies across both PPC and SEO”. Whilst the well-established Drum Marketing awards embrace digital, these new Search-specific awards aim to showcase the very best examples from our often under-celebrated industry.

The great successes we have seen from our work with clients such as Cophall Parking Gatwick and The Tattoo Shop made choosing categories and campaigns to enter very easy. We worked hard to try and condense all of our many wins into the relatively short submission forms, and had our fingers crossed from the start of March until the start of May when the nominations were announced.

Our hard work paid off and we were thrilled to be nominated for the PPC – Best Travel/Leisure/Sports Campaign category with our Cophall Parking Gatwick submission!

The awards were held at London’s prestigious Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Square. A champagne reception and a three course meal followed by a highly entertaining set from Beardyman showed that The Drum was serious in their efforts to inspire the Search industry. Thirty two awards were given out in total – unfortunately we missed out on winning our category, but we lost to a giant of a global media agency who were representing an international automotive brand.

Reflecting on the awards during the journey home, winning would have been nice– to have our hard work recognised and validated by a panel of industry experts and our peers. However, the rate of our growth has been staggering. Every year we double the amount of spend we put through the search networks – through new client wins and organic growth. For us, the fact we were competing against ‘the big boys’ of the search marketing playground shows just how far we have come. Not only do we manage S&T’s property clients, we have a strong portfolio of loyal and happy PPC-only clients (from all industry sectors). We have a great relationship with Google, and recently finished in the top 10 for the UK-wide Grow Local promotion.

Our hard work, reliability and dedication was validated by having our submission considered and nominated.

We sent a clear message to the Search industry – Space & Time have arrived, and we’re here to stay!
